Pakkis

Khalid Hussain, Claudia Berguson, Ingeborg Kongslien, Paperback, Khalid Hussain is a Pakistani-Norwegian author and filmmaker. He was born in Pakistan in 1969 and moved with his parents to Norway in 1975. Drawing upon his own life experiences, Hussain voiced in Pakkis the unique challenges of may young immigrants in Norway. In the novel, we follow the story of the teenager Sajjad as he tries to shape his own identity in the space between the Pakistani culture of his parents and the Norwegian culture of his peers.
