Sweden in Chicago
Our Museum is located in Andersonville, a historically Swedish neighborhood on the north side of Chicago. What started as a Swedish community after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, has evolved into a diverse neighborhood that exudes small-town charm. Even today, Andersonville remains one of the most concentrated areas of Swedish heritage in the United States. Click here to learn more about the history of Andersonville.
