Binge is a regional handicraft started in the Halland region of southwest Sweden during the 17th century. It features patterns knit with two contrasting colors (traditionally red, blue, and white) with short yarn floats on the back. The technique was created to work up warm winter garments quickly, such as traditional mittens and sweaters.
Join us for a book launch, lecture and two knitting workshops with author and designer Christel Eriksson from Sweden. The lecture is free for all. The workshops are $130 and include yarn, patterns, fika on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.
