Hildur Höglind is a musician and songwriter from Sweden, who has received several prestigious awards and toured around the world. After a successful first tour in the US Midwest following the release of her debut album in the summer of 2023, she is excited to return to perform at the Museum, bringing both her own work and some of her favorite Swedish songs with her.

Hildur performs her music both solo and with other musicians. The lyrics are the focal point of Hildur’s songs, but the melodies are not far behind; sometimes ethereal and serene, sometimes intense and fierce. Ideas, love, death and art inspire her songwriting. Carefully crafted fingerpicking patterns on the guitar and a clear voice have become  main attributes along with intriguing lyrics.

Hildur has had great success in several music competitions, nationally and abroad. Most recently she was selected to participate in the songwriting show Songland on national TV. In the summer of 2023, Hildur’s first full-length album, Matters, was released and met with great reviews as well as radio play.

In 2018, Hildur released the five-track EP Poems, which was recorded in a home studio together with her father, guitarist, arranger and composer Niclas Höglind. The EP contains, in addition to her own songs, three poems by Queen Elizabeth I of England, Dylan Thomas and Edgar Allan Poe set to music by Hildur. Poems received great reviews in music blogs and magazines and the late Queen Elizabeth II of England sent a letter thanking her for the music. In 2015, Hildur Höglind completed two tours in England in connection with the release of her first EP, the five-track collection of songs called Early.
