Your gift to the Museum will be matched!
Be part of our “Welcome Back” Campaign.
Bo and Anita Hedfors are asking us to come together to support the Museum. They will match donations up to $50,000 dollar for dollar. This is truly an amazing opportunity for you to make your money go further. The goal to raise $100,000 is instrumental for the Museum to open the doors again and stay strong throughout this next phase. We are eager to welcome everyone back for events – in the beginning in smaller groups but hopefully by the fall in slightly larger gatherings.
We have already raised $40,000 towards the match and with your help we can reach our goal.
During 2020 we stayed strong thanks to the support of special grants, donations from our members and donors, and reduced expenses. The need for extra support continues into 2021 to cover expenses of operating the Museum and the extra cost to make sure we keep everyone safe.
None of us knew that when we had to close the doors in March 2020 it was going to be over a year-long process of partial and full closure. We have all learned how to stay safe, take precautions, and be connected while remaining socially distant.
All of us at the Swedish American Museum hope that you, our members and supporters, are healthy and staying safe. Hopefully, some of you have received the vaccine and can soon see your family members in person.
The Board of Directors and Board of Trustees of the Museum are fully committed and have made financial contributions to start this campaign.
As we have entered the 45th year of the Swedish American Museum and 20th year of the Brunk Children’s Museum of Immigration, we hope that you want to celebrate with us and be ready for when we welcome you back!
You can make a contribution here, send a check or visit the Museum.
With sincere appreciation

Bengt Sjögren, Chair Board of Trustees
