Herring and Lutefisk and other fish traditions by Richard Tellström ONLINE

Scandinavian food culture is very often something with fish, and in Sweden the fish dishes are many all year around, and especially as a starter at the Christmas Table or “Julbord”.

In this online lecture associate professor Richard Tellström from the Swedish Agricultural University speaks about fish traditions through history, the Swedes liking for pickled herring and lutfisk, and of course the sour and fermented herring. And some new fish dishes, as tostada with Lutfisk.
