Dear Museum Members and Friends,
Due to ongoing concerns for public safety related to the Coronavirus and in regards to the well-being of our community, visitors, staff and volunteers, the Swedish American Museum is closed to the public. We are monitoring the advice from the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) closely and adjust our activities accordingly. Currently this means that we will remain closed until further notice but no earlier than April 30, 2020. All large gatherings will be postponed until May 11. These dates are likely to change as the situation develops so make sure to check our calendar for updates. The Brunk Children’s Museum of Immigration will reopen once CPS is back in session.
We thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to closely monitor this rapidly evolving situation. We recommend that patrons and the public continue to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and the Chicago Department of Health.
We will continue to post up-to-date information here, on social media sites and will notify patrons directly as needed. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact us through firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.
Wishing you all the best at this time of uncertainty.
