The Swedish American Museum is your passport to teaching immigration in new, exciting ways using multidisciplinary tools and innovative field trips! Guided tours are available to all groups ages pre–K through high school with a minimum of 10 and maximum of 60 students. Groups of over 60 students will need to book additional days. Programs are generally two hours for groups of 20 or more.
Cost is $3 per student; chaperones and teachers are free if within the designated ratio. Some workshops require an additional fee. Self-guided tours of the Swedish American Museum are available at regular admission costs but must be scheduled through the education department.
New to the tour for 2016 is our Buzz Aldrin Education Cart. This tech-equipped mobile exhibit will be used on a regular basis as part of our educational programming and enriches students’ experiences in the areas of space exploration, the moon, and American explorers. This complement to our Buzz Aldrin: Space Visionary exhibit was made possible through a grant from the Swedish Council of America. If you would like to have the cart incorporated into your tour, please specify that when making your reservation.
School tours can be scheduled for Monday – Thursday between 9 a.m. and noon. To request a school tour, please submit the contact form below and our education manager will follow up with you shortly.
