Swedish Language Class – Conversation

The Swedish American Museum is offering evening Swedish Classes this semester with four levels: Beginners I, Beginners II, Intermediate, and Conversation/Advanced. All courses will run for fourteen weeks with classes running 90 minutes. The instructors are Hanna-Klara Thurfjell, Claes Rameus and Benjamin Stopek. Tuition is $210 for Museum members, $250 for non-Museum members. Books are not included in tuition.
Conversation/Advanced, Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m., starting Sept. 12
For students who have mastered the skills at the intermediate level and want to practice the Swedish language. The course will focus on advanced conversation, discussions, reading, and comparisons of Swedish and American culture and traditions. Classes will be held in Swedish.
Benjamin Stopek (Conversation/Advanced)
Benjamin Stopek is a Swedish dual-citizen. He has been living in the U.S. for the past nine years. Recently a Chicago resident, Ben moved from the East Coast to be closer to friends and family. He works in the Chicago theatre scene as a writer and director. His main focus teaching Swedish is empathy work and helping students grasp abstract conversational topics and concepts.
REFUND POLICY: Class fee must be paid before or at the time of the first class. A tuition refund is available up to two days after the date of the first class.
